Oakleaf Village, a 53-acre senior living development in Traverse City, Michigan, consists of 60 assisted living units, 50 independent living apartments and 44 memory care units. The Interior Design and Senior Living teams collaborated to develop the floor plans and RCPs for this project, implementing high impact design elements such as fireplaces, wood millwork, and built-in casework within the common areas.
Oakleaf Village offers residents a continuum of care and amenities appropriate to their care level. Independent living commons and apartment buildings offer entertainment for active adults, including a Pizza Parlor themed Café, Theater, Game Room, Beauty Salon, Fitness Room and Yoga Studio.
Memory care consists of four 11-person households which contain a kitchen, living room, dining room, and activity space with access to an outdoor courtyard.
Interior finishes were selected with a coastal theme, implementing a tonal blue water inspired color palette. Subtle patterns in several coordinating custom carpet designs pair seamlessly with stained and painted wood millwork, and ceilings elements. The design capitalizes on exterior views of surroundings.
